Timothy P. Dooling, CFA
 
Tim Dooling, a Chartered Financial Analyst, brings over 18 years of investment experience.  Mr. Dooling has been actively managing equity and derivative portfolios since 2001.   As Lead Analyst for Avalon Capital he structured and managed a >billion dollar equity and derivative portfolio for a single-family office.   Mr. Dooling was earlier the portfolio manager for North Island Partners, an equity long/short hedge fund in La Jolla.  Mr. Dooling also held a Senior Analyst position at Sempra Commodities, where he was responsible for structuring and pricing of complex energy derivative transactions.  He was previously an analyst for Bricoleur Capital Management in La Jolla.  Mr. Dooling worked overseas from 1991 to 2001, from 1991 to 1995, while based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan he was responsible for the research and execution of private equity and commodity transactions in Central Asia for the Meredith Jones Group, an English Cotton merchant.  Subsequently he worked from 1995-2001 with Robert Fleming Securities as an equity research analyst covering companies in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa while based in London, England. 
 
Mr. Dooling holds a Masters Degree (Accounting) from the University of San Diego.  He graduated from the University of Santa Clara in 1991 with a degree in Finance.  He is a fluent speaker of the Russian language.  Mr. Dooling is a member of the American Finance Association, and the CFA Institute.
